Grapes: 100% Merlot, different kinds.
Production area: City of Mansuè, locality Basalghelle.
Soil Type: Clay-Calcareous of alluvial origin.
Harvest: In the last 10 days of September.
Vilification and refinement: The grapes, harvest by hand, are softly pressed, and then they make 5 days of maceration. It’s ferments with indigenous yeasts. It’s make malolactic fermentation, and then it’s refined for 8 months in steel tank.
Colour: Medium ruby red.
Smell profile: Nose: it’s intensive, fragrance of flowers, of violet, and fragrance of fruits, of blueberry and plum. In the mouth it’s dry, warm and roundness. Malolactic fermentation makes the tannin elegant. The wine is fine and balanced.
Food pairing: It’s excellent with all dishes of the meal. Excellent with elaborate first courses, as lasagne Bolognese, grilled red meats, grilled vegetables and beef fillet with mushrooms.
Alcohol: 12,5% vol. at the time of bottling.
Service Temp.: 16-18°C.
